The 2015 SW Beef Symposium in Amarillo, Texas attracted over 160+ participants. The event was a huge success with live audio by All Ag, All Day! for those unable to attend. The use of social media allowed us to reach an even wider audience with live tweets and posts to various Facebook pages.
Search Twitter for #2015SWBEEF to review tweets posted throughout the symposium. In addition, several Extension Facebook pages posted updates and pictures. Some of those include Extension Animal Sciences, Union and McKinley Cooperative Extension, NM Indian Livestock Days and Corona Ranch. Search for their pages on Facebook to review the posts.
The event is held in January and alternates between locations in New Mexico and Texas. The 2016 Southwest Beef Symposium will be hosted by NMSU Cooperative Extension in Roswell, New Mexico.Symposium Proceedings
